Kathmandu, Dec 15: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokahrel has said the government would respect all religions.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by Nepal National Christian Federation here on Tuesday, Minister Pokharel noted government's firm commitment to protect and respect all religions keeping in mind that the constitution has ushered the country into a secular state.
"The secularism is already institutionalized in the constitution", he said, adding that, "All religious and ethnic communities are free to adopt their culture in line with respective religion".
The Federation has demanded prompt implementation of past agreements reached between the Christian Federation and Nepal government. RSS
