Kathmandu, Dec. 13: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has wished a speedy recovery to Mt Everest climber Wangchhu Sherpa. The renowned mountaineer, who was diagnosed with cancer in large intestine, is receiving treatment at Harisiddhi Hospital in Lalitpur.
The PM visited the ailing mountaineer in the hospital on Saturday and wished his speedy recovery, according to a press statement from the PM’s secretariat.
Sherpa, 47, has scaled Mt Everest thrice and is also founding president of the Everest Summitteers Association.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has also awarded Sherpa with Mt Everest Conservation Campaigner, 2072. RSS
