Ilam, Dec 14: The District Education Office, Ilam has earmarked Rs 235 million for the construction of physical infrastructures at 126 different earthquake-damaged schools in the district.
The DEO, Ilam has allocated this amount for the construction of classrooms and other structures in these schools which are cracked by the April 25 devastating earthquake and are not suitable for running classes, the District Education Officer Ram Prasad Pandey said.
Currently, these schools are running classes from the temporary learning centres. The DEO has provided Rs 6.4 million for the construction of three school blocks with eight rooms, Rs 4.8 million for the construction of three buildings with six rooms and Rs 3.2 million for the construction of 13 school blocks with four rooms.
Likewise, it has allocated Rs 1.95 million for the construction of 16 blocks with three rooms and Rs 1.350 million for the construction of 91 blocks with two rooms. RSS
