Kathmandu, Dec 15: The government and the agitating federal inclusive alliance (FIA) held talks on Tuesday.
During the talk, the government urged the FIA to withdraw protest programmes and seek solution through dialogue.
Chairman of the Federal Sadbhavana Party, Anil Jha, said both sides put forth their views at today’s meeting, and would meet again by making further homework. He added that the FIA floated 10-point demand with the government including two provinces in the Tarai, constituency delineation based on population, review of constituency in every 10 year among others.
From government’s side, the meeting was attended by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bhim Rawal, Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet, senior leader of the CPN-UML, Jhalanath Khanal, while the FIA was represented by Sadbhavana Chair Jha, Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Republic) Raj Kishor Yadav, Chairman of Rastriya Madhes Samajbadi Party Sharad Singh Bhandari, and Coordinator of Tarai-Madhes Campaign, JP Gupta.
