Mahendranagar ( Dhanusha), Jan 24: Life in central and eastern Tarai
including in Dhanusha has been affected with increasing cold coupled
with cold wave for the past two days.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Janakpur, the
district recorded maximum temperature of 18 degree Celsius while the
minimum temperature dipped to 13.8 degree Celsius Saturday. The
adverse weather has forced the people indoors.
There is a minimum flow of service recipients at the District
Administration Office alike of usual time. School children and the
aged have been affected the most. Public places including roads and
markets areas have given deserted look as there is no movement of the
