Kathmandu, March 15: Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai has said the imminent visit of the Prime Minister to China would be historic.
At a programme organized by the Reporters' Club in the capital city Tuesday, Minister Rai expressed hope that the visit of PM KP Sharma Oli to China would be successful in strengthening the relations between the two countries. There won't be any agreement against national interest, he added.
However, he said agreements relating to trade and transit, fuel and energy would be made during the visit, said the Minister who is also the Spokesperson of the government.
"Government never makes mistakes of using 'double cards' by criticizing India during China visit and criticizing China during India visit. Equal treatment is done to the neighbours," he made it clear.
According to him, the country was in need of national consensus for implementation of the constitution, election of local bodies, and reconstruction. RSS
