Rautahat, March 28: Two persons died on the spot in a road accident at Amalekhgunj-6 in Bara district this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Dhruba Karki, 44, of Mahadevsthan of Kavrepalanchowk district and Lal Kumari Pokharel (Swostika), 37, of Katari-2 in Udayapur district.
According to the District Police Office, Bara, the accident took place when a bus (Na 4 Kha 5696) heading towards Kakadvitta from Nepalgunj and a car (Ba 3 Kha 8079) coming from opposite direction collided with each other.
Karki was the car driver and Pokharel was NSU President at Padma Kanya Campus.
Police have arrested the bus driver and both bodies have been taken to Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the incident was underway. RSS
